I love Russia! I really do love it here… of course there’s a lot of things that are different, some good, some bad, some just different. Some things take time getting used to and some are sort of inconvenient especially coming from a country where we have pretty much everything at our fingertips almost the moment we want it.
And theres a lot of cultural things I still don’t understand, but i love seeing all the differences and learning. But I really do love it here! I’m not homesick, although, I do miss you all of course! Every day is an adventure! I have so many stories and I haven’t even been here a month!
It’s cold, but I’m not freezing… I LOVE the snow! Everyday that it snows, which has been a total of I think 4 since I’ve been here, I get this kind of childlike excitement that makes me stop and look excitedly out of every window we pass and then I get completely unable to sit still until I can go outside and be in the snow (like every kid in Texas that’s seeing white stuff fall from the sky for the first time). Class is brutal when I can see it snowing outside.
